Chicks, soaps & staying put for a bit!

Happy Summer!

I can’t believe we are almost half way through the year already.  We have been living in our RV for a full six months now and lots of things have happened.  First of all, we LOVE this life style!  We have a wonderful place to park on the May River and it looks like we will be stationary for the next three years – until our daughter is out of college.  Of course, that doesn’t mean we won’t be taking the occasional trip now and then but we won’t be heading out west until she graduates.  She is doing fantastic in school (4.0 gpa!!) and we like being here when she is on break.

So since we’ve decided to stay put that has given us some opportunities to do some things.  First off, there is my soap business I’ve started.  It will be great as we can take the RV to craft shows and really be comfortable!  If you haven’t visited my Etsy store be sure to check it out.  Lots of new things posted!!  Green Apple Soaps & Sundries

Secondly we’ve decided to acquire a few chickens!  We bought some baby chicks and are getting our feet wet in homesteading.  The eventual plan is to move back west, buy some land and a build an off-grid homestead.  I will also be putting in a small garden!  It’s a good thing I quit my job as I will be busy! 🙂

Anyhow, that is what is new with us.  I will be posting some photos in the next couple of weeks of our chicks, the new hen house Mark is building and of course, SOAPS!  Our dream is coming true and it is awesome!

Happy Trails!
